Primary Doughnuts

Recently I was feeling something that many of we artists dread. Not knowing what to create..not feeling "inspired".
I had learned however through earlier experiences that one can't wait around to get inspired. You just have to remind yourself that you love creating art, and you know how good you will feel if you just get busy.
So I remembered how much I loved doing a particular painting last year of a cup of coffee and a couple of doughnuts. Then I thought that the subject wasn't serious enough. But then I quit arguing with what sounded like fun and just decided to do a doughnut series. I went to look for some good doughnuts, and saw these donuts glazed with primary colors and I knew they would be just right.
